Job Description:

This role within the Supply Chain Planning organization will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day purchasing and inventory governance of over 5,000 individual packaging components across 40+ manufacturing locations. This role will be focused on implementation of strategic efforts to ensure the company operates at optimal inventory levels by employing Lean principles to prevent overstock and stock-out situations. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Work to ensure timely delivery of all required raw materials
  • Work to ensure inventory control procedures are followed and inventory control is maintained to achieve KPI targets
  • Conduct data analysis to be presented for raw material procurement S&Os and complete open action items
  • Conduct data analysis to be presented for packaging procurement Tier 3 meetings and complete open action items
  • Execute component changes, BOM updates, and runout plans. Request/execute material creation/changes
  • Track inventory DOH vs target for assigned categories and perform root-cause analysis for misses
  • Perform SLOB Materials analysis and recommend disposition
  • Review and maintain MRP settings for assigned packaging items/categories/plants including SS settings, lot sizes, coverage periods, and lead times
  • Monitor and maintain open POs with accurate quantities and delivery dates. Review past-due POs and remedy or escalate as necessary
  • Coordinate with plant operations, scheduling, and materials managers to preempt material supply issues. Serve as first POC for plant material questions/concerns
  • Request material transfers as needed

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS from an accredited university (Supply Chain, Finance/Accounting, Management, Operations, Logistics, preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience that includes aspects of supply planning, demand planning, scheduling, inventory control, procurement, manufacturing or logistics.
  • Ability to effectively analyze and distill large data sets into actionable findings and communicate those findings to managers and directors in the Supply Chain Planning organization
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work independently and to achieve desired results without direct supervision and step-by-step instructions
  • Demonstrates strong project management, planning, organization and cross-functional skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent with SAP, JDA/Blue Yonder & Tableau.
  • Excellent with Excel and PowerPoint
