Job Description

 

Compensation: $22.21 to $37.02 an hour - paid bi-weekly (Based on Experience)

 

Shift Available: 10:00am - 6:00pm (Monday - Friday) Some Weekends and Overtime as needed

 

Position Summary: Safely load, unload and transport materials and products within the warehouse facility and between the Chelmsford production plant and warehouse.

 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely at all times, consistently following company safety policies and wearing required PPE. Maintain situational awareness on the warehouse floor and notify a Supervisor or Manager immediately of safety concerns.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Load, unload and transport materials and products within the warehouse or production area and to/from our satellite warehouse.
  • Once trained/certified, operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery.
  • Accurately record material handling data and maintain clear documentation of inventory status and movements.
  • Work successfully in a team-based environment to complete tasks efficiently and support production and shipping schedules.
  • Notify a Supervisor of damaged product, mislabeled items or inventory discrepancies.
  • Consistently adhere to all policies and procedures related to Food Safety and Food Defense.
  • Participate in and successfully complete required monthly computer-based and classroom-style safety training modules.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be an experienced CDL Truck Driver, with a Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and current medical certificate.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in English and/or Spanish.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of basic arithmetic: counting, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is preferred.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • Strong hand/eye coordination.
  • Physical stamina is required. Position requires walking, standing and lifting product for up to 90% of each workday. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, reach and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work environment is a typical manufacturing/warehouse environment with seasonal heat/cold and sound related to machine operation and maintenance and facility repair activities.
