The Director of Continuous Improvement – Distribution Operations will lead operational excellence across our distribution network, including Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) and local warehouses.  This role is fully accountable for CI governance, standard work, execution discipline, and sustained performance improvement.  The Director will champion the Novolex Operational Excellence Program, develop CI capability across the network and will partner with the operation to eliminate chronic issues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own Continuous Improvement governance for Distribution Operations across all RDCs and warehouses
  • Direct ongoing refinement and sustainment of Standard Work and Leader Standard Work across all Distribution Operations, ensuring disciplined execution across all sites.
  • Audit tiered management processes and execution discipline
  • Establish and enforce Root Cause Problem Solving standards, holding leaders accountable for applying methodology, Ensuring operational issues are thoroughly understood and permanently resolved.
  • Lead CI audits, operational assessments, and loss elimination initiatives
  • Eliminate chronic execution losses and ensure long term sustainment of improvements,
  • Develop CI capability through training, coaching, and leadership development.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree Preferred in logistics related field
  • 10+ years of experience in distribution, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong expertise in lean methodologies, standard work, tiered management, and problem solving.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and automation preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $150k-$200k + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
