Accountant Job Description

• Process month-end plant journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Monitors and maintains plant policies and procedures
• Standard Cost Accounting – reviewing and analyzing standard costs for raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods
• Review production order variances
• Analyzes cycle count and inventory data on a rotational basis
• Maintain other plant compliance topics.  Including but not limited to HR, Shipping/Receiving, Fixed Assets/MRO, and Production.
• Present summaries and executive-style reporting to management for summarization of compliance
• Work directly with internal/external audit on resolution of current findings and prevention of future findings
• Ad hoc reports as needed

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in accounting required
• Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred
• 3+ years in accounting 
• Direct Plant/Manufacturing experience desirable 
• Must have strong analytical skills and experience in analysis 
• Ability to effectively interact with operating units and other departments
