Job Description

Maintenance Planner - Corsicana, TX

 

Compensation: $33.15 to $42.60 - paid weekly (Based on Experience)

 

Available Shift: Days Monday - Friday

 

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating all maintenance activities for our manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with maintenance personnel, production staff, and vendors to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and downtime is minimized.

 

Safety

  • Responsible for following all required safety procedures are for each task you do
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Immediately address and escalate any safety concern, risk, hazard, near miss, or injury immediately to the appropriate supervision on shift

Productivity

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance program for the facility.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production staff to minimize downtime.
  • Work with vendors to schedule and coordinate equipment repairs.
  • Track and analyze maintenance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities
  • Create and schedule work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ownership of CMMS asset hierarchy and preventive maintenance requirements. Includes all facilities, production/support equipment, and tooling.
  • Daily ownership of CMMS work order flow, scheduling, and documentation. Includes assigning work orders to available maintenance resources, reviewing completions status, and closing work orders.
  • Interact with all CMMS work requesters as required to clarify work order scope to help ensure proper and timely work order completion.
  • Work closely with plant engineering, maintenance, production, scheduling, and contractors as required to plan, schedule, and execute all maintenance work, except shift/emergency repairs, to maximize equipment reliability and minimize cost/waste. Includes proactive, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Work closely with the storeroom to organize planned work order packages into parts kits prior to the work order’s scheduled completion date.
  • Accurately estimate times and costs of maintenance work, except shift/emergency repairs, to include labor and parts/materials costs.
  • Assist in the CMMS planning and execution of capital projects and equipment upgrades.
  • Run a weekly CMMS planned maintenance scheduling meeting to include plant engineering, maintenance, production, and scheduling resources as required to ensure effectiveness.
  • Utilize mean time between failure (MTBF) and root cause analysis problem solving techniques to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience working with industrial production and/or support equipment such as electromechanical drive trains, compressed air, hydraulics, vacuum, and process water systems is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a CMMS such as Maintenance Connection, MP2, Maximo, etc. is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAP is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency working with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with all levels of the organization including contractors and vendors is required.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to schedule, manage, and complete multiple work assignments and projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated proficiency reading/interpreting mechanical drawings is preferred.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a lift truck license within 60 days of hire/promotion.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently as well as working with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
  • Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills; ability to work well in group situations
  • Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed
  • Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours due to the nature of the work
  • Must be able to wear the required PPE to enter the plant/complete the tasks
  • We expect regular and timely attendance to avoid disruption to the team and the line.
