Job Description

Wetend Operator-Multiformer|Macon, Georgia|Hiring Immediately|

 

Compensation:

  • $28.03 per hour (paid weekly)

 

Available Shift: 

  • Rotation every 8 weeks
  • 7 AM – 7 PM
  • 7 PM – 7 AM

Job Purpose:

 

The Multiformer Operator is responsible for overseeing the molding operations of products and maintains the continuous operation of six (6) mold machines.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all documented procedures for the position.
  • Ensure that mold machines and ovens are operating within standard line conditions.
  • Adjust stock flow as needed to maintain appropriate product weights.
  • Address any product malformations as communicated.
  • Operate the digital control system to run the molding process.
  • Monitor chemical dosage and communicate any issues to Maintenance.
  • Analyze product for quality defects and adjust intermittent sprayers accordingly.
  • Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
  • Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
  • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
  • Maintains excellent attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities requiring control of a mechanical process and inspection of product to meet quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work safely and to communicate with others in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability sufficient to determine product quality, for example, carton malformations, color verification, and structural integrity.
  • Demonstrated hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for product handling.          
  • Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
  • Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
  • Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (frequent)
  • Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequently)
  • Must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, and work in a hot/cold environment.
  • Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour schedule.
  • High School Diploma or GED
