Production Supervisor|Frankfort, Illinois|Now Hiring

 

Compensation 

  • 70K-90K based on experience

Novolex is required by laws in many locations to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 70-80k.

 

Available Shift

  • 3pm-11:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
  • Typically supervises 50 plus employees
  • Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees
  • Planning, assigning & directing work
  • Appraising performance
  • Rewarding & disciplining employees
  • Addressing complaints & resolving problems
  • Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis
  • Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals
  • Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in group situations
  • Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner
  • Good computer skills
  • SAP experience preferred
