Team Lead | City of Industry, CA|Hiring Immediately

 

Compensation:

  • Competitive starting pay range of $29.72 - $42.28 per hour, paid weekly 
  • Pay: Competitive starting pay rate based on experience and qualifications
  • Bonuses: Eligible for monthly bonuses based on plant productivity

  • 1st shift 
  • 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8-hours
  • OT Hours Available

 

Position Overview

The warehouse team lead is responsible to the Plant Manager/Operation Supervisor for all shipping, receiving and inventory control.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance to the housekeeping policy.
  • Conduct and log behavior based safety observations in the daily safety log book.
  • Personally follow and enforce all plant rules including critical safety rules and policies.
  • Understand the operation of all equipment including fire protection safety.
  • Attend all assigned safety meetings and safety seminars, and safety awareness training.
  • Forklift certified on a tri annual basis.
  • Be CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Be trained in the use of the AED ( Automatic External Defibrillator )
  • Be trained in DOT (Department of Transportation) Hazardous waste requirements.
  • Be trained in New Chemical approval processes, MSDS and reviews.
  • Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet prescribed standards and are on the approved chemical approval list.
  • Load finished product; receive all raw materials, chemicals, and incoming pallets.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and month end inventory of raw materials, production and finished goods to ensure accuracy of inventory.
  • Enter and maintain all documentation in the computer system (JDE and Excel).
  • Receives all packages from UPS, Fed Ex or any other carriers.
  • Creates all master bills of ladings.
  • Checks and confirms all production to warehouse inventory.
  • Stages production into warehouse.

 

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalency
  • Must have no more than 4 attendance points
  • Must not have a step 2 disciplinary action within the last year
  • Previous experience with shipping and forklift operations preferred
