Responsibilities

Sealing Technical Specialist|Raleigh, NC|HIRING IMMEDIATELY

 

Starting Pay Range: $34.16 to $41.54 based on experience and qualifications*

 

Available Shifts:   Night Shft 7pm-5am Wed.-Sat and  Day Shift 7am-5pm Wed.-Sat

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Sealing Technical Specialist will execute maintenance and setup tasks, which require an in-depth technical knowledge of equipment. The technician will install, setup, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment breakdowns involving all mechanical aspects of machinery, analyze failures or equipment technical loss causes, and make or suggest improvements as needed. Incumbent works closely with the Tech Manager, Maintenance Leads, Unit Manager, production associates and other maintenance team members to provide technical support to meet production goals, ensure a safe work environment and meet customer specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities are to include but not limited to the following:

 

 

  • Maintain equipment at a high level to meet safety, quality, and production goals
  • Extensive preventative and predictive maintenance experience
  • Advanced skills in diagnosing problems, repair, and adjustment of equipment
  • Ability to articulate problems and use methodical thinking process to connect machine issues
  • Understanding or background in pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Prior in-depth knowledge repairing gear boxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pumps.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, prints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
  • Machining skills, a plus
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Follow Safety and Health policies and procedures
  • Ability to drive material handling equipment or be trained to drive material handling equipment

Qualifications:

 

Mechanical Specialist interface with managers, team members, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or some type of heavy equipment repair.
  • Must take Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude Test
  • Computer skills and/or ability to be trained on work order system
  • Ability to effectively communicate to aid in troubleshooting
  • Welding experience, a plus
  • Must show initiative and adaptability to work independently and/or as part of a team
  • Must have strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methods
  • Be willing to work overtime as required to meet company goals
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
